The official catalog for Comic Market 88 (Comiket 88), held at Tokyo Big Sight from August 14 to 16, 2015. The catalog is B5 format, approximately 1,400 pages, square-bound, with a cover illustration by manga artist Kaoru Shintani. It contains a complete listing of all participating circles, organized by genre and booth number, with individual circle cuts like small advertisements that include the circle name, a preview illustration, and contact information. Although this catalog is from 2015, the Comiket catalog has maintained a consistent physical format and organizational structure since the mid-1980s. During CLAMP's active dōjinshi period (1985–1989), the same catalog system included postal addresses in circle cuts, enabling mail-order (tsūhan) distribution of dōjinshi beyond the event itself. Buyers would send teigaku kogawase (fixed-amount postal money orders) along with a self-addressed label to the circle representative, who personally processed all orders. The catalog thus functioned not only as a guide to the event but as a directory enabling an entire postal distribution network. Comiket catalogs are preserved in the Comic Market Committee's sample archive and at the Yoshihiro Yonezawa Memorial Library of Manga and Subculture at Meiji University.
