Cyrus Cylinder, Pahlavi Iran, Commemorative Postage Stamps, 2,500 Anniversary of the Persian Monarchy

On October 12, 1971, the Pahlavi government of Iran released a commemorative series of postage stamps in celebration of the 2,500 anniversary of Persian monarchy. The text of each stamp was in Farsi (Persian) and French, with the latter considered the language of diplomacy during the 20th century.
