Description
This powerful photo shows Japanese soldiers using a tied-up Chinese prisoner to practice stabbing with a bayonet during the Nanjing Massacre. This cruel method of killing was common at the time and sometimes done as part of training or even for fun. The image shows how badly prisoners were treated and helps us remember the terrible violence that happened, so history is not forgotten.
