Description

History of Creation - During the early 20th century, the Art, Historical and Scientific Association initiated the erection of an outdoor exhibit in Stanley Park featuring Kwakwaka’wakw house posts and totem poles. This photo shows the first four totem poles to be moved into Stanley Park in the 1920s. More poles from the Wuikinuxv and Haida were added in 1936.
